The bay is known for the excellent fishing for trout (brown, lake, and rainbow), salmon and steelhead, perch and walleye. Sports available in the area include boating, swimming, picnicking, camping, kayaking, hiking and biking. There are antique stores nearby, as well as wineries, farm markets and the entire area is filled with marinas, fishing charters, quaint shops and restaurants.

If you don’t have your own boat, there are many area fishing charter captains will take you out on an excursion to their favorite fishing spots that you’ll not soon forget. They will take care of it all. Full and half-day trips are available.

Sodus Point offers annual activities and events all year long. During the summer season, afternoon outdoor concerts are available at the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum.
